McCarthy and the Cubs said their search for a successor to Kasper is wide open, casting doubt on sources who said Marquee was leaning toward Fox Sports’ Chris Myers as Kasper’s replacement alongside analyst Jim Deshaies.
“We have already received interest from several prominent candidates who look at the job as anybody would - as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with one of the most iconic franchises in sports,” McCarthy said.
